Description

The major input is represented by the image with the 3 thermometers:

  1. The first is the ambient temperature for which the equipment has been
    designed.
  2. The second is the ambient temperature for which the equipment is fully functional in
    case of 1 fan failure.
  3. The third is the ambient temperature for which the equipment is fully functional in
    case of 2 fan failures.

There are three diagrams. Clicking on them opens an editing area. The text can be copied and pasted.

  1. The top diagram shows the ambient temperature duration
  2. The middle diagram shows fan MTBF as function of temperature
  3. The bottom diagram shows fan speed as function of sensor temperature

Air temp inc is the temperature increase of the air vented through the system.

Failure intensity at half speed is a compensation term that takes into count that aging, (probably), is slower at low fan velocities.

Repair time is the time it takes to replace a failing fan.

The results are shown in bold text. The value in parenthesis is the result of the former calculation, (if the new result has changed).
